50 g instead of several 1 oz coins
A 50 g bar is a convenient alternative to several bullion coins: one item, one card, one minting premium. A 1 oz coin, on the other hand, has a face value and a design recognised worldwide, which helps when selling. The bar has no face value — its worth comes only from the weight and fineness of the silver.
In the Nadir range, 50 g is the last size in a card similar to the smaller bars, yet it already lowers the cost per gram clearly compared with 5 g, 10 g and 20 g.
Markings and card
The obverse shows the Nadir Metal Rafineri logo with the NMR monogram, the inscription 50g Fine Silver with the fineness and the NMR Melter Assayer mark. A pattern of large letters from the refinery name covers the reverse. The card carries a QR code, a barcode and a note that the certificate applies only to an unopened package.
The photos show the older 999 Fine Silver card with a 999.0 bar and the newer card marked Fineness 999.9. According to the supplier the fineness is 999.9; which version you receive depends on the batch.
Producer
Nadir Metal Rafineri is based in Istanbul and grew out of a metal recovery workshop founded in 1967; the company itself dates from 1993. According to the company history it was the first refinery in Turkey with LBMA Good Delivery accreditation for gold (2011), followed by silver in 2012.
